These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the BEAMS system (“BEAMS”, “we”, “our”, “us”) by school staff and authorised users. By accessing or using BEAMS, you agree to comply with these terms, relevant school policies, and applicable Australian laws and regulations.

1. Purpose of BEAMS

BEAMS is designed to support Australian schools in recording and monitoring student behavioural incidents. It is an internal tool used by authorised teaching and administrative staff for educational and pastoral care purposes.

2. User Eligibility

Only authorised school personnel who have been issued login credentials may access BEAMS. Shared or unauthorised access is strictly prohibited. Users must not impersonate others or attempt to gain unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use BEAMS responsibly and in accordance with your school’s policies and professional standards. In particular, you must not:

• Enter false, misleading, or offensive data
• Share login credentials with others
• Use the system for any unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the software

4. Data Responsibility

BEAMS stores student information and behavioural records. Users are responsible for entering and managing data accurately and appropriately. All data must be handled in accordance with school policy and Australian privacy law.

5. Availability and Support

While we aim for high system availability, BEAMS may be occasionally offline for maintenance or updates. Announcements regarding downtime may be shown on the login or home page. Technical support is available via the contact details below.

6. Security and Access

All access is logged. Suspicious activity may result in account suspension or disciplinary action. You must notify your administrator immediately if you suspect a security issue or unauthorised use.

7. Intellectual Property

The BEAMS platform and all associated content, code, and materials remain the property of its developers or licensors. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use the platform as authorised by their school.

8. Termination of Access

Access to BEAMS may be revoked at any time by school leadership, administrators, or developers if these Terms of Use are breached or if access is no longer required for your role.
